“God honours a big purpose because a big purpose honours God.” – Mansfield
Most people believe they are destined for greatness and glory, but few people actually live like it. The result is a widening gap between their thinking and their reality. They allow their circumstances to get between them and their purpose instead of letting their purpose get between them and their circumstances. Glory chasers measure everything against their God-given purpose, including the most challenging circumstances. That’s the difference between being scared and being motivated to glory by your purpose.
When everything is said and done, your purpose isn’t going to say, “Well said,” “Well thought,” or “Well planned.” There is one measuring stick, where God will say: “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Being driven by glory is not holding down the fort.
Being driven by glory is chasing your purpose even when the odds are against you.
There is a kind of people that seem satisfied with breaking even—don’t do this, don’t do that, and you’ll be okay. The problem with that is this: you can do nothing wrong and still do nothing right. Breaking even is breaking bad. I personally believe God has called us to play offense with our lives. Those who simply run away from what’s wrong will never amount to more than half achievers. The only way to tap your God-given potential, to fulfil your God-ordained destiny is to chase your purpose and live it.you can do nothing wrong and still do nothing right. Tweet Me
Listen to me, your purpose is so much bigger, so much better than breaking even. If you focus on not making mistakes, you won’t make a difference. You don’t overcome adversity by focusing on not facing adversity. Have a dream that is bigger and better than the circumstances you’re trying to overcome. You need a dream that doesn’t allow you to become sidetracked, a dream that demands your utmost.
There is an old aphorism ( big word aye? I know): No guts, no glory. When we lack the guts to go after our purpose, we rob God of the glory He deserves, let that sink in. By definition, a God-sized purpose will be beyond your ability, beyond your resources. Unless God does it, it can’t be done! And that is precisely how God gets the glory. He makes us do things we can’t do so we can’t take credit for them. God honours a big purpose because a big purpose honours God.
Destiny is not a mystery. Destiny is a decision—a difficult decision, a daring decision, a counter-intuitive decision. You fulfil your destiny one opportunity at a time. Of course, those opportunities often come disguised as problems. Landing in a pit with a lion on a cold day qualifies as a bad day, a bad break. But Benaiah didn’t see it as bad luck; he saw it as his big break.
I am not trying to preach here or go all spiritual on you but these are raw facts. I grew up in a 3rd world country, but that circumstance was not going to stop me from living my purpose. The poverty and lack of solid leadership was a driving force for me to be more in my life. I owe no man but God to be the best version of me that I can be. My purpose is my glory, me living my purpose is His glory.
If you’re looking for an excuse, you’ll always find one.
If you’re looking for an opportunity, you’ll always find one.
#Teamknowyourpurpose has an eye for opportunity. There are amazing opportunities all around us all the time, but you have to see them to seize them. And you have to be willing to put in the hard work to be who you are destined to be. Pandemic aside, success is in your DNA! Go out and get it.
As always, stay safe and stay motivated. We will beat this.
